The new DEFRA regulations stipulate that any person working on vehicle air conditioning systems must have a DEFRA approved refrigerant handler qualification. I am pleased to announce that we are able to offer an ATA accredited qualification which meets regulation EC307/2008 and lasts for five years.
We will be running a series of courses at regional venues to assist your business in complying with the new legislation. Due to the number of Technicians requiring the accreditation we are already experiencing high demand and we therefore advise that you book your place as soon as possible.
Please note we will be running both one and two day courses depending on your previous experience, please see details below;
One Day Refrigerant Handler Course - £250.00
This course is for those Technicians who have sat previous training and have a good working knowledge of air conditioning systems, testing and diagnosis. The training will focus on the new gas handling regulations and will be followed by an online and practical assessment. Please note that the assessment will contain questions on systems and diagnosis not covered in the one day course, please see details of the two day course below.
Two Day Refrigerant Handler Course - £395.00
This is the full course for Technicians who have not received previous training or are relatively new to air conditioning. The training covers the new gas handling regulations as above, as well as a full day’s training on A/C systems, diagnosis, leak detection and correct use of equipment.
